Object Information
The Cat’s Eye Nebula, in the constellation Draco, is one of the most intricate planetary nebulae in the night sky. Its luminous blue-green core is surrounded by faint expanding shells of gas, expelled by a dying Sun-like star during the final stages of its evolution.
To the right of the nebula, the small and distant barred spiral galaxy NGC 6552 can be seen against a rich stellar background
